·         04 Mark Dever – Improving the Gospel: Exercises in Unbiblical Theology

·         05 R. C. Sproul – The Curse Motif of the Atonement

·         06 Albert Mohler – Why Do They Hate It So? The Doctrine of Substitution

Science

The University of Cambridge has just published the complete works of Charles Darwin online.  These works were previously available only to a select few have been published for the world to see.  This is the largest collection of its kind and contains everything from his original sketch of evolution to personal letters and photographs.

Theology

Pastor Joe Thorn, of Redeemer Fellowship, has created a phenomenal paradigm for his church entitled The Table, The Pulpit and The Square.  You can read his description and view the paradigm in his post The Full Paradigm.  I have e-mailed him and the other documents mentioned in The Table, The Pulpit and The Square will be posted online soon, so keep looking for them on his blog and I will provide links to them here.

  1. I wish I could have made it to T4G. Had I been in Kentucky still, I would have gone, for sure. Hope to make it a priority in 2010.

Joe Thorn’s paradigm looks really good, practicle, and very doable. I’ve emailed him about it as well and would love to use some of his ideas in the future.

  2. wanted to post a comment on your ‘about’ page, but didn’t see that option there. so you can leave this here or delete it; hey – it’s your blog, right?…

Over the next year, I struggled with God over my call to the ministry. It meant abandoning my dreams as a musician and surrendering the control that I felt I had over my life.

man, i could have written that exact sentence verbatim – probably more than once, if truth be told. but i tend to look at it now as not so much ABADONING my dreams as it is abadoning MY dreams – if that makes any sense. i’ve seen God use one of my songs a time or two, and it’s incredibly fulfilling when it happens. so the challenge to both of us is to try to find our dreams within His.
